I’m exhausted just watching…

HONESTLY, this was one of the coolest/most exciting things I’ve ever seen on TV!

This morning, our own John Isner defeated France’s Nicolas Mahut in an epic record-shattering first round match at Wimbledon! The former University of Georgia player is 6’9″ with a BIG serve!

The whole match took 11 hours 5 minutes over 3 days (The previous record was 6 hrs 33 min at the ’04 US Open)

The final score: 6-4, 3-6, 6-7 (7), 7-6 (3), 70-68.

Yup, you’re looking at the right score–that’s 70 GAMES to 68 GAMES in the fifth set!

Our own Georgia Bulldog finished with 112 aces, crushing the previous record of 78.

Here’s the final game that ended the match.
